Codesign Lab: Bridging Hardware & Software

Innovating at the intersection of hardware and software for energy-efficient, reliable, and secure systems.

Research

Welcome to the Hardware and Software Codesign Lab at the University of Notre Dame, led by Professors Hu and Michael Niemier. Our mission is to pioneer innovative solutions by seamlessly integrating hardware and software to tackle pressing real-world challenges. By combining algorithm and hardware design techniques, we address critical needs in beyond-CMOS circuit architectures, energy-efficient and reliable systems, and resource management for real-time applications.

People

Our lab is situated on the beautiful Notre Dame campus, overlooking the South Quad. We are a diverse team, bringing together individuals from around the world with different expertises.

Publications

Our lab publishes in the world’s top conferences, driving innovation at the forefront of hardware-software codesign. From new architectures to redefining system efficiency.

Tools We Built

As a research lab, we build powerful tools through our published work to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of hardware and software.
