Md. Redwan Islam is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, advised by Prof. Michael T. Niemier. He joined Hardware and Software Co-Design Lab and began his Ph.D. in Fall 2024. His research focuses on in-memory and near-memory computing architectures, with a particular emphasis on non-conventional computing using emerging technologies such as ferroelectric FETs (FeFETs). He received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Bangladesh, in 2021. Before starting his Ph.D., he worked for three years as an Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Layout Engineer. His current research explores FeFET-based DRAM design, circuit-level modeling, and system-level integration for energy-efficient computing.
